STONE - Kamena, Beno Ogrin, s.p.

Kamena is a one-man company near Ljubljana, specializing in local stone from the area. More than just a skilled craftsman, Beno Ogrin is dedicated to and proud of his country’s stones. He treats this material with respect and knowledge, which he shared with the two teams he worked with: Anna Badur, Klara Zalokar and Klemen Zupančič. They had long discussions about the special features of particular stones, the quality and responsibility of permanence and the different options of the craft itself. The respect for the durability and age of the material is visible and intuitively felt in the resulting projects.
