Slovene designer Davorin Savnik, who designed all the telephones produced by Iskra Company starting his work for the company in the sixties, designed the ETA 80 telephone in 1979. Due to its flat and extremely pure form ETA 80 represents an innovative design solution at that time. That’s why it soon became the most copied product of Slovenian design in the world. Still as a prototype it was exhibited at BIO 8 (1979); but was never awarded at BIO.
