NANOTOURISM // RESEARCH + DESIGN + MAKE

In the Autumn semester of 2014 at the École d’architecture Université de Montréal Aljoša Dekleva, as guest professor, led the workshop nanotourism // research + design + make. The workshop developed strategies of nanotourism, interventions that provide both, the spatial and social triggers which initiate the change with the ambition for temporary or long-term spatial and social integration. The final results were site-specific micro interventions on a 1:1 scale and holistic strategies for existing contexts. Fifteen students realised four site specific projects, the case studies of nanotourism: »Archiculture« was about upcycling pallets into a performative urban agriculture landscape. »City Phonics« was dealing with social agendas, street space and music – Montreal's key culture. »Exercise the Light« created an installation which acted doublefold as illumination of the Piste des Carrières and as social machine. »Sharing the Track« was an organisational project creating digital and physical awareness on the Piste des Carrières.
