Microplants are edible green young plant shoots. Unlike in classic arable farming, they do not require the same amount of space and time as mature plants, despite sharing some of their sensory characteristics. In controlled environments, shoots can grow all year round, becoming part of the interior. Needing only water and light to grow, these tiny seeds are an alternative to a soilless garden. Anyone can start growing microplants, having a fresh supply of young vegetables at arm’s reach.
