Iskra’s first original telephones, developed solely on the basis of its own research, were produced in the 1960s. Davorin Savnik was a designer of Iskra’s telephones. The development was reinforced by advances in technology: a printed circuit for installing and connecting electronic components was build into the ATA 31. For the first time, a thermoplastic mass was used for the casing, enabling both a reduction in production costs and greater mechanical strength in the product. ATA 31 telephone was awarded with honourable mention at BIO 2 (1966).
