»As young architects, we usually get experience from our studies and internships. With this project, we got a chance to learn invaluable information directly from the residents of the studied apartments. Divided in two phases, the experiment was conducted in Ljubljana's Fužine neighborhood. In the first phase, we visited various apartments and studied how people inhabit them. They told us what was good about their homes, what bothered them and what they wanted to change. The research was based on OUR observations of these apartments. In the second phase, we offered the people architectural and design consultancy. We solved problems that were based on THEIR experience of living in these apartments. We believe that their experience along with our knowledge produced interesting results in terms of affordable quality living. Now we face another question. Can we offer such solutions to other people? Will they trust us enough for us to implement the quality of living we expect?«
